CP3 Injection Pump Upgrades

Upgraded CP3 for Cummins & Duramax

CP3 injection pump The Bosch CP3 injection pump provides fuel pressure to the common rail on 6.6L Duramax, 2003-2007 5.9L Cummins, & the 6.7L Cummins engines. Upgrading the pump for higher rail pressures can increase the power on stock trucks, while highly modified trucks will require the pump for additional fuel flow & rail pressures.

Otherwise Known As:

CP3 injection pump upgrade, twin CP3 injection pumps, dual fueler

How It Works:

Upgrading the CP3 pump increases common rail pressure, which creates better fuel atomization and maintains fuel pressure on engines with larger injectors. Additionally, an upgraded pump builds maximum pressure sooner, creating better throttle response and low end power. For people who want to run extremely large injectors for race applications, twin CP3 pump kits are also available in the aftermarket to maintain fuel pressure in extreme apps. A twin CP3 kit can support beyond 1200 horsepower, and having 2 pumpsreduces the load on the pumps.

• Big performance gains.
• Supports additional mods like larger injectors.
• Gives stock trucks a nice power boost.

•Too much fuel pressure for extended periods can be rough on common rails.

Possible Problems:

•It is important to ensure the flow & fuel pressure rates are matched to the rest of your system for proper operation.

Est. Gains:

• 50 -200 hp, depending on application & additional modifications.
• Manufacturers claim increased fuel mileage on stock trucks thanks to better fuel atomization.

All Duramax engines, 2003-2007 5.9L Cummins, 2007.5 - present 6.7L Cummins.

Additional Info:

Running large injectors will almost require a CP3 pump upgrade in order to get the most out of your setup. Contact a dealer to find a pump that fits your needs.
